I bought two pair. Green and Khaki. The green is like a scout/army green but that is a nice change. Very light. Wore the khaki in Stockholm in a summer heatwave in July. They were not too hot. I only had one issue and probably my fault. I sat down on something that 'caught' and put a tiny hole on my bum. I should't have sat where I did but just down and up.....tells me this will NOT hold up to the abuse I put my hiking pants thru. I love EX clothes but these would be designated to travel type. Not rough wear. thus one star off. Very comfortable otherwise. Waist is a tad too big but that isn't unusual. I had recently purchased a set of buckle-less belts and it worked well. EX tends to run large (xs works for me and sometimes still too big). I ordered a 4 and 6 in these but kept the 6 as I wanted to be more comfortable on my travels. Pockets were convenient. I didn't ever try to roll pants up. Eventually we got into cold weather and they were still comfortable.
