Just what I was looking for. Fall to spring pants. Probably too warm for summer, but I was looking for something a little heavier for hiking in the cooler temps. Sheds water well. Not too loose, not to tight. Very comparable to OR Voodoo- “heavier” than Ferosi pant. Liked the pocket depths better (deeper pockets.)I saw a pair in a shop in Healdsburg, CA, and tried them on and loved the fit and feel immediately. Then I bought a pair here so I would always have one ready to wear. They are super comfortable. 32 32 is perfect fit for me, and I don’t use a belt. Best pants ever. These are casual enough for Pandemic working at work, tough enough for scrambling in the woods, and nice enough to wear out to dinner. I ordered one pair, love them, and ordered two more. They are my go-to, anytime, any wear pants. They are a bit pricey but I have owned this brand before and worn the pants 15-plus years so they last and last. The fit is as expected. Construction excellent. These pants are incredible IF the size is listed correctly. Unfortunately, the pants as sold are not labeled correctly. The Royal Robbins Men's Alpine Road charcoal pants are "Active Fit Mid Rise" but the tan pants shown are "Standard Fit Classic Rise". The different sizes are not listed. The Active Fit fits great but the Standard Fit fits terrible. On the Standard Fit the crotch length is too long so it is baggy. Not sure why the item is not labeled on the listing at all. That would help to know whether or not they will fit. These would be 5 star if the tan was available in Active Fit Mid Rise or if I could get the Active Fit size from the manufacturer in tan. They move with you in the right places. You ruined a good product. These pants USED to be relaxed fit and comfortable. Not anymore. They are tight and your junk gets crushed up. My old pants still fit. It's not me, you changed the design in a bad way. Zero stars if I could.I liked the slimmer fit, however the inseam fit was strange. For a 34" inseam, these seemed to be short. Also the crotch seemed low which pulled at the thighs when I was walking. I ended up returning these. These must be older versions of an otherwise great pant. RR now sells these in Active Fit which are great. These are cut differently and I ended up returning them.
